Sports medicine - Sports medicine or sport medicine is an interdisciplinary subspecialty of medicine which deals with the treatment and preventive care of athletes, both amateur and professional. The team includes specialty physicians and surgeons, athletic trainers, physical therapists, coaches, other personnel, and, of course, the athlete.
Peter Vizsolyi - Peter Vizsolyi is a medical doctor with a Diploma in Sports Medicine; he has been the Head Coach of the University of Victoria Vikes swim program since 1983. He holds academic appointments at both UVic and UBC, and has been an Canadian National Coaching Institute (NCI) Master Coach since the Institute was founded in 1986.
